Arriving at Tallinn

Last week we where invited by SiGMA, the team behind the popular iGaming conferences in Malta, to come to Tallinn. On thursday 27th of April our Flight to Tallinn from Amsterdam was ready and it took us around 2 hours to fly to Tallinn. For us at BestBettingCasinos.com a totally new experience because we never went to Tallinn before. New spot, new people and new business a perfect way of spending our weekend. Because of the great hospitality of Videoslots.com and SiGMA we both had extra leg space seats in the airplane so we had an amazing and relax flight to Tallinn.

Just before 17:00 we arrived at the Hilton Park Hotel in the city centre. After an easy registration and a warm welcome from the organisation it was time to drop our bags and start with a nice welcome drink. In the hotel lobby there was a super relax bar and within a few minutes some Dutch lads joined us for drinks in the bar. Always good to meet people that are in the same business. People with the same interests and the same problems. After a lot of welcome drinks it was time to go up to the executive rooms for a dinner with a view. At the 11th level of the hotel Videoslots and Olybet held a executive dinner for their guests. A part of the dinner was good, we had some good company and salads. But the meat was a bit dry. And when you are in this industry with loads of men, at least take care of good meat.

Poker Tournament at Olympia Casino

All delegates (over 20 casino affiliates) had a ticket to join the poker tournament at the Olympia casino. Over 20 poker tables where filled with casino affiliates and representatives of online casinos. the winner of the event, a Dutch guy living in Malta, won a gift card of €1.500 for sports events. An amazing tournament it was, good organisation, free drinks and loads of fun with other people from our business. My partner Koen lost his stack in the first round and myself ended early by losing an all inn to 2 other players.

After the poker tournament it was time to leave the hotel and search for a nice club with some drinks and music. Together with 3 other Dutch guys and our friend Kim from Sweden we moved to Club Holywood in the city centre. I guess when we entered the club we where the only ones in the club. Thursday night is not the best night to go clubbing in Tallinn. At the end of the evening some people showed up and after some dances and bottles of wodka it was time to move back to the hotel. A day well served and we had enough drinks.

Day 2: Wellness time with a hangover

At Day 2 there where some meetings settled and there where some workshops organised by the organisation. After an introduction from each brand and the organisation it was business time. Our team and fellow Dutch business guys took the chance to enter the Wellness at the Hilton Park Hotel. With some cold glasses of fresh water it was super relax in the wellness. The longer we stayd the more affiliates entered the wellness. Very good to do business while sitting in a hot spa or in a steam bath. And doing business makes hungry. At the Hilton hotel in Tallinn there is a nice restaurant with a view over the city. With some good quality food and drinks it is a good place to do business or just relax.

Sightseeing in Tallinn – we needed some fresh air

With a hangover you have a few things that can help you get rid of this hangover. For me personally fresh air and eating are the best combinations. Together with the BestBettingCasinos.com team we went for a city walk through Tallinn. With a nice sunny sky and a cool temperature the perfect circumstances to get rid of the hangover before the next eating and drinking session started. During a nice walk we visited the old city center and the harbour. At this harbour boats to Finland, Sweden and Denmark come and go. Loads of people living in these countries come to Tallinn to get cheap drinks or to do business. After our walk we entered a real sportsbar. A mega bar but we where the only ones in the bar. Not bad having the whole crew for yourself. After some fine chicken and drinks we left the bar to set up some serious gambling at the Olympia Casino.

I love the Olympia Casino because it offers loads of different tables, great service and loads of different video slot machines. The drinks are cheap, sometimes even free when you are gambling high stake on a table. After a few great games it was time to have dinner in the old city center of Tallinn. The whole group of 200+ delegates went to the city center to restaurant Olde Hansa. In a medieval setting (see picture of the toilets underneath) we had a lot of fun with the affiliates. drinking beer from medieval glasses, and having food in the dark. No idea what was coming up. Happy to have an iPhone with a flashlight on it so we could check out what kind of food we received. Loads of food crossed the table. Some was very good but to be honest a few things where not the best. After a few beers, a lot of different kinds of food, some shows from people working at the restaurant and funny moments we left the restaurant to get back to the Hotel.

Little party and gambling at the Olympia Casino

After dinner it was time to get back to the hotel for a small business party with drinks and some gambling. Together with our Dutch friends we had a few drinks and we watched the shows organised by the casino. And where there is drinks in a casino there is gambling. After a while we joined a roulette table and we had our privat table for Dutch affiliates only. After a lot of fun and a small winning it was time to get to bed because the day after flight was an early one.

We had an amazing time in Tallinn. And would love to come back to this city for sure. The organisation of the event by the SiGMA crew was perfect. And this makes me curious for this years SiGMA event in Malta. What can we expect this year when we all fly to Malta in November? If it is half as good as the Affiliate Grand Slam than it is gonna be a cracking event. We already booked our hotel. We are ready for yet another great event organised by SiGMA.
